Studious Limited have been operating since April 2009 and are a Registered Building Control Approver (RBCA), we are approved and regulated by the Building Safety Regulator (BSR) to continue providing building control services throughout the UK on all building projects up to 18m to the top floor, but we currently limit our area of operations for Domestic works to Kent, Sussex, Surrey, South East and Central London. Our service is offered as an alternative to that of other providers but we will aim to be as competitive as possible.
Should you be interested in our services please contact us initially by telephone or email and we will provide a fee quotation for our services and if appointed enter into formal contract with you and serve appropriate legal notices under the Building Regulations. During the design stage we will review plans, liaise with your designers, consult with the Sewerage undertakers and Fire Service (where relevant) and issue a request for any additional information or alteration to the design which are considered necessary to comply with Requirements. During the construction stage we will inspect the work at specific stages and endeavour to identify any areas which may contravene Building Regulations and notify you of such. It is then your responsibility to ensure that appropriate steps are taken to rectify any items in an appropriate time. You must be aware that we cannot act as designers, supervise works or instruct your Contractors and you are required to have suitable measures in place to ensure that you can comply with the requirements of the Building Regulations.
