Energy Efficiency and Design

Studious Limited are approved assessors registered with Elmhurst Energy Systems Ltd and have been providing SAP design assessments for residential new build and conversion schemes since the inception of the requirements in 2001. Where we have been appointed as the building control body SAP ratings will be provided as part of our detailed assessment of the scheme with copies provided to clients for information.

In addition our experience of building design allows us to produce area weighted U value calculations (AWU) to demonstrate compliance where excessive areas of glazing are desired whilst maintaining the "buildability” of the structure.

We are also able to provide predicted Energy Performance Certificates (PECs) for marketing purposes and on-construction Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) for newly completed dwellings.
